鉢裏前正中在銘　同銘は寡聞にして、「愛」の前立で名のある直江兼続所用兜と、上杉上重臣・本庄繁長所用兜の二例をみるのみ。
This inscription is known only to a few people, and only two cases are found: One is a kabuto (helmet) made for Naoe Kanetsugu, famous for its front ornament engraved with the word “love,” and the other is a kabuto made for Uesugi’s chief vassal, Honjo Shigenaga.
